Scarlett’s stunt trainning for her role as Black Widow in Iron Man2
“Scarlett hadn’t really done an action role. And she assured me that she would work as hard as she needed to both get in sharp and do her stunts and learn all that stuff. She spent hours and hours and hours for months.By far the most dedicated actor when it came to stunt work and the physical work.” - Jon Favreau:Director&co-star
like a fucking boss.
Because some things should always be shared.
And the fuckwit reporters only asked her about what fucking diet she did in preparation for the fucking outfit. Jesus fucking Christ.

“If you’re comfortable with yourself, then it’s sexy. Maybe people think I look sexy because I feel sexy. I am a very liberated person that way. I’m very comfortable with my sexuality, my body, my face - well, sometimes I’m not comfortable with my face, but it’s stuck there and there’s nothing I can do about it.”
Not that I’ve seen all of Scarlett Johansson’s movie roles, but I’ve seen a fair few. And this is more facial expressions than I’ve ever seen her make. And I don’t mean that to shit on her acting ability or her face or anything about her—it says to me that here is a wickedly beautiful girl continually cast as the personality-less “beautiful girl.” And that makes me sad for Hollywood.
Ugh, TRUTH. I have never felt anything about Scarlett Johansson in large part because I’ve never seen her face move until now. That’ll teach me to buy into what I’m shown by publicists and studios.
i’ve only really become a scarlett johansson fan within the past year and a major part of me finding her boring for years before that had a lot to do with the above commentary. but i quickly became an outrageously defensive scarjo stan! as such, i recommend watching the nanny diaries, which, believe me, i know sounds like a shit-tastic movie. when i downloaded it i wasn’t expecting much more than a way to pass the time, but it is excellent. all of the acting is great, scarlett actually gets to express a lot and interact with characters in a way that you may not have seen from her other movies before, and the movie itself is just magnificent. i’m not kidding when i say it’s easily in my top ten movies ever, possibly top five. i promise it is so much better than you think. also, you should watch her interviews on late night talk shows and behind the scenes footage for movies she’s done, particularly within the marvel franchise. watching her talk about the character of black widow and the work she put into the role before she even auditioned for iron man 2 is what initially caused me to step back and go, “okay, maybe she’s actually been awesome this whole time.”

it’s not the length of a life that matters…just the depth of it. the chances we take. the paths we choose. how we go on after our hearts break. hearts always break. and so we bend with our hearts. and we sway. but in the end…what matters is that we loved…and lived.
